Mile post 8.5; our Main Line communities are dotted with historical markers that start in Philadelphia and stretch out past the Main Line community of Wayne. In the center of town is the Ardmore train station where you’ll find mile post 8.5 representing that you are eight and a half miles from Philadelphia. Ardmore is a walkable community with one of the oldest outdoor shopping mall in the country; Suburban Square.

Today Suburban Square is home to several local restaurants, houses the local farmer’s market featuring Amish baked goods, Trader Joe’s supermarket, Lululemon, Gap, Ann Taylor and Ten Thousand Villages to name a few.

Education and continuing education is a cornerstone to our community. The Ardmore Library underwent a $2.43M facelift and reopened in 2016. Schools located in town include:
